About CCE(CYBER CONFLICT EXERCISE)

2020 CYBER CONFLICT EXERCISE

This year, 2020 Cyber Conflict Exercise(CCE) aims at strengthening cyber resiliency of government administration, public agencies, and civilian institutions, as well as improving their response capabilities to cyber security threats. Considering the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19, 2020 CCE will be held online.

Eligibility requirements

Anyone with Korean citizenship

Participation fields

Area

  • choose either public team or civilian team

Team building

  • Each team should comprise maximum 4 members.
  • Private sector workers including students should apply to a civilian team which can consist of two or more private ones.
  • Public sector workers should apply to public team.
  • A public team can be composed as alliance team consisting of two or more public institutions and partners. (But, the workers in public institution should be two or more people)

In the case of a public team, all team members must be employees of public institutions(which can be different) and submit evidence materials such as an official document and partner contract agreements to 'National Security Research Institute' for passing the qualification round. Otherwise, qualification may be canceled.

The final round

Eligibility teams

  • 20 public teams and 10 civilian teams
  • 5 overseas invitation teams(excluding awards)

Competition features

  • Real-time defense and problem solving consisting of challenges based on the actual accident cases are conducted online.
  • All members in each team advanced to the final should be together in the place and keep your upper bodies to appear on the provided webcam's screen during the final round.
  • Several contents for the competition are provided to each team.

Total prize money : 60 million KRW

※ The top 3 teams must participate in CCE reviews.
